Under the radar went news that should have shocked sports fan who crave deep sports journalism. Back in January 2017, AdWeek reported that Showtime's 60 Minutes Sports would be canceled and air its final episode this month.
It launched in January 2013 and aired for five seasons.
The show's ratings are difficult to judge considering that the program is not as reputed as HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel or ESPN's Outside the Lines. But when premium channels have not been consumed by the mainstream public even in the age of cord-cutting, it was going to be hard for 60 Minutes Sports to gain the notoriety its competition has received.
